Schedule

Session One- July 18Fantastic Frogs

Our first week is all about frogs and the magic of Wethersfield! Adventurers will explore the garden’s ponds while learning about conservation, ecosystems, and the important role frogs play in our environment. We’ll go on a frog walk, make springy froghopper crafts, and enjoy storytime with a snack to wrap up the day.

Session Two- July 25Meet the Pollinators

What makes a garden grow? This week, Adventurers will become pollinators themselves as they explore the important role these busy helpers play in keeping our plants- and planet- thriving. We’ll learn about flower anatomy, try our hand at pollinating blooms, and discover the many creatures that keep Wethersfield buzzing. Each child will make their own pollinating stick, then settle in for a pollinator-themed story.

Session Three- August 1Fruit, Seeds & Berry Treats

What’s sweet, juicy, and full of seeds? This week, Adventurers will head to the Wethersfield orchard to pick fresh blueberries and learn all about fruits—the tasty plant parts that protect the seeds inside. After gathering berries, we’ll return to the Carriage House to make our own fruit salad and finish the day with a story and snack.
